Lockdown Lick 306

Lockdown Lick

Paying tribute to Gary Rossington who sadly died today. He was the last surviving member of the original 1970s Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Gary’s guitar playing had a huge influence on me and so many other guitarists. Be it rapid lead runs, great rhythm or his authentic and brilliant rock slide guitar playing. RIP to a true rock n roll legend. He will be missed & remembered.β™₯️

Lockdown Licks no. 306. Gary Rossington Tribute.

‘Freebird’ intro style slide licks. Played on a Vintage Slider II guitar. Using a NUX M8 amp set to ‘superlead’ with some reverb. Have been playing in open D or G a lot lately.. Yesterday i re tuned to an E to play something else and had the perfect tuning to play this riff today. Low to high strings EBDF#BE.🎸
