Lockdown Licks no. 301. “Steel Sunrise.”
Played on a Vintage Slider II lap steel tuned to an open G (GBDGBD) into a NUX M8 amp set to clean with some reverb.
I put this progression together by following 3 chord/double stop fingerpicking riffs on the top 4 strings, mostly rising up the scale from fret 2 to a final note at 16. The G tuning, with two sets of GBD strings makes for some interesting blues/country/Hawaiian sounds.
