Lockdown Licks no. 232. ‘Your Love is King.’ by Sade. Playing the intro solo on a saxophone only kidding on the HB35+ guitar set to neck humbucker for solo, mid for rhythm lick. Using a NUX M8 amp set to ‘clean’ with a touch of reverb. Plugged a loop station in between the guitar and amp and recorded rhythm using partial A and D major 7 chords. Each chord change is played by sliding from the fret below the chord as shown in the rhythm video.
The ‘loop’ is played back in the main video, backing the single note lead solo played in a pop jazz style similar to the original. The original sax solo by Stuart Matthewman is beautiful!
