Lockdown Lick 270
Lockdown Licks no. 270.
Bit of a different one today, playing with a band in a box.
“Tuesdays Gone” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Intro vocals &chords/picked Dsus to A chord riff and lead playing. Using a “Digitech Trio band in a box pedal” I was sent to try.

I initially played the chord pattern on my guitar- A-E-F#m-D/Dsus used in the original song into the pedal to “teach” it.
Then set the tempo to the original song, and using the “pop” setting, tweaked the rhythm style until it fitted similar to the original. I must say it did a pretty good bass line and drum backing. On first use I was quite impressed! Great for practice or if your bass player and drummer quit before your gig!
I’m no Ronnie Van Zant but decided to sing a few lines to give context to the lead, picking and chords I play on a Telecaster into the pedal and then into a NUX M8 amp set to clean with a touch of reverb.
“Tuesday’s Gone” is the second track on American rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd’s debut album, (Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd). It also appears on the band’s first live LP, One More from the Road.
