Good to be back playing again after illness and a break away from anything ‘music’.
Lockdown Licks no. 275. “Rockin All Over The World” by John Fogerty. Status Quo style lead solo played in style of original on a Telecaster into a NUX M8 amp set to ‘superlead’ with slight reverb. Original played by Francis Rossi.
Rockin’ All Over the World” is a rock song written by John Fogerty, formerly of Creedence Clearwater Revival. It made its debut on Fogerty’s second solo album in 1975. It was also released as a single, spending six weeks in the US top 40, peaking at 27. Status Quo recorded their own, heavier arrangement of Fogerty’s song for their 1977 album Rockin’ All Over the World which reached number 8 on the UK chart. In July 1985 Status Quo opened Live Aid at a packed Wembley Stadium with a superb version, ensuring “Rockin’ All Over the World’s” status as another of Fogerty’s legendary rock n roll classics.
