Lockdown Lick 302
Lockdown Licks no. 302. “Breathe” by Pink Floyd. Lap steel solo
played on a Vintage Slider II lap steel into a ‘Sonicake’ Vol/Wah pedal then into a NUX M8 amp set to clean with some delay.
Using a volume pedal with my right foot here decreases the ‘picking attack’ giving a “smoother” sound and was used with the lap steel in the original by Dave Gilmour.
“Breathe (In the Air)” by Gilmour/Waters/Wright is a song by English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It appears on their 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon.
The song is slow-paced and rich in texture, and features Gilmour playing the electric guitar with a Uni-Vibe and lap steel guitar with a volume pedal and includes several overdubs of the instruments.
