Lockdown Licks no. 337. “Early Dire Straits style riffs” played on a Stratocaster into a NUX M8 amp set to clean with some reverb.

I really enjoy the early sound of Dire Straits from the first Album with the clean tone from Mark Knopfler.

I tried to avoid copying any of his riffs but still capture his style with 4 or 5 riffs I put together.

*Playing riffs around Am/G picked rhythm.

*a rock n roll Knopfler style riff in the Am pentatonic.

*second riff uses a double string picked arrangement ending on a rake and drag back to the G chord. A rake from G to top E at 5th fret and top E is immediately bent a tone.

Final riff is similar.
