Lockdown Licks no. 400
‘Learn to Fly’ by Foo Fighters. ‘Octave pair’ rhythm n double bend plus chord picking riff.
Played on a HB35+ into a NUX M8 amp on ‘superlead’ with some reverb.
Playing only the 2 notes of the chords on A/G strings an octave apart with simultaneous 2 string bend riff gives this section it’s distinct sound. The important thing here is completely muting the E/D strings whilst playing.
Original guitar by Dave Grohl.
