Lockdown Licks no. 69
“Let’s Dance,” by David Bowie. Intro funky guitar rhthym riff & bass counterpoint riffs played on a Fender Stratocaster set on bridge pick up, volume 8, tone on 7. NUX amp on ‘clean’, bass 7, mid 5, treble 6 with delay set to tempo of song.
The guitar played by Nile Rogers is less ‘busy’ on the original, using the delay to repeat, and the bass guitar on counterpoint riffs and drum accompanying. I have played this way, to cover rhythm, guitar, bass in one!
